Matariki poem

On Matariki
Whanau and friends gather,
It’s a time to celebrate
And reflect on our past and future.
We learn……
To share.
To love.
And to be grateful.
We eat lots of kai, and spend
Time with our family
Matariki means a lot.

Bad day!!! :

6 years ago, when I was 3
I was brushing my teeth, and before I knew it I was at hospital
“Wa wa wa what happenzzz”
“What happened was red thick oozy substance came out of your poor little mouth, darling”
“OH MAMA!!!”
“Which was blood” Dun dun duuuh!
“OH” “wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa” “ I hate blood”
After some chat I had to be put to sleep for surgery (I don’t know why?) to get my tonsils out.
I woke up, I still felt like I was going to puke (Again)

They gave me medicine and ice blocks. I stayed at the hospital for a few weeks, the I could finally go home.
